Let customers speak for us
Wonderful books like "The Adventure of Theodore James" are hard to come by! The first thing I noticed when I received this book in the mail today is the gorgeous cover. The adorable picture frame drawing of Theodore wearing his backpack and the gilt lettering showed me at once that this is a special book with an heirloom look. When I peeked inside, I was delighted to find that Cat had signed the first page.
The book has a charming Beatrix Potter feel, in a "new classic" sort of way. The story is sweet and inspiring. Homey family scenes are juxtaposed with action and suspense, which culminate with Theodore's new-found self confidence. This is totally relatable for kids. The drawings are delightful; my favorite is when Theodore looks up while collecting seeds. Those three spilled seeds show the care taken to include such details. It is clear that a lot of love and joy went into this project.
This is a book worthy of recommending to friends, gifting to new moms, or presenting to favorite little ones, and it will have a very special place on my bookshelf.
I really really liked it. She wrote my name very pretty. I initially bought it, because the two main ducks illustrated looked like my ducks, Thomas and Jane🤎💛

This simple story held the interest of and delighted my 4 and 6 year old grandsons. I was excited to share it with them, as my 6 year old especially, is trying to find his ‘unique’ place in his first grade class.
