This simple story held the interest of and delighted my 4 and 6 year old grandsons. I was excited to share it with them, as my 6 year old especially, is trying to find his ‘unique’ place in his first grade class.

I love that this book is not like the current, modern children's books. There's heart in this book. It's nostalgic and has a classic vibe.

Ordered a little while back and it arrived in great condition. Got Theodore James as a birthday present for my nephew and while I think he was initially confused because it wasn't a character he already knew, I'm pleased to say he was completely locked in when I read it to him later. He even chimed in a few times to point things out in the pictures. Very cute story and the illustrations are beautiful.
